Pipeline Bridge, Casper, 1976

 

This is a pipeline bridge across the North Platte in Casper, Wyoming. At the time this photo was taken, about 1976, the highway ran across the south bank of the river.

Today, those familiar iwth this era will recognize this as the support for a footbridge across the Platte.  The refinery is now gone, and footpaths and a golf course are now in this area.  The highway is now on the north side of the river.
